A creative Mixed Media art class for Young Artists age 5-7
7 WEEK SESSION meets twice a week
We will meet twice a week over Zoom for 45 min to get creative around different themes. Mixed Media projects include Clay, Printmaking, Collage and cool Watercolor techniques!
Me Week! We will create a colorful clay plaque with our initial. Week #1 6/15 & 6/17
Cardboard Creations! An Oil Pastel and Yarn Colorful Fish Weaving and a Rainbow Cardboard Collage. Week #2 6/22 & 6/24
Strange Science! Let’s experiment with Watercolor paint, salt & oil to create a Luminous Lava Lamp! Week #3 6/29 & 7/1
Sweet Treats! A Sweet Cupcake Composition in the style of Dessert Artist Wayne Thiebaud. Week #4 7/13 & 7/15
Under the Sea! Tempera and Watercolor Paint techniques will help us create an amazing underwater sea life collage. Week #5 7/20 & 7/22
Printmaking Pride! We will use our handmade patterned papers to create a Lion collage in the style of artist Clare Youngs. Week #6 7/27 & 7/29
Caribbean Congo! Feel the beat as we create a colorful Congo Drum set against a Cool Caribbean backdrop. Week #7 8/3 & 8/5

A Mixed Media Art Studio for Young Artists age 7-12
7 WEEK SESSION meets twice a week
We will meet twice a week over Zoom for an hour & half to get creative around different themes. Mixed Media projects include Batik, Paper Mache, Clay, Printmaking, Collage, Watercolor and Paper Sculpture.
Me Week! We will batik our very own art apron and create a paper mache sculpture of our initial. Week #1 6/15 & 6/17
Dream Week! A Watercolor and Ink hand drawn dream catcher using a compass and some dreamy watercolor techniques. Week #2 6/22 & 6/24
Colorful Collagraph! We will create a unique Collagraph printing plate inspired by Disney artist Mary Blair. Week #3 6/29 & 7/1
Sweet Treats Week! A Clay Cupcake and Sweet Layered Cake Artwork in the style of Dessert Artist Wayne Thiebaud. Week #4 7/13 & 7/15
Artful Abstract! A colorful abstract collage on canvas. Week #5 7/20 & 7/22
Geodes & Gemstones! Watercolor, metallic ink, salt, glitter…who knew geology could be so cool! Week #6 7/27 & 7/29
Rainbow Kaleidoscope! Our final project of the summer is inspired by Contemporary Artist Jen Stark’s Dripping Rainbows and Kaleidoscope Sculptures. Week #7 8/3 & 8/5
